The College of Charleston Wind Ensemble is an auditioned group open to all students on campus. Students should have at least three years' experience playing a standard band instrument. Auditions take place a few days before classes begin in the fall semester or by appointment. The ensemble plays literature in the grade 3 to 5 range. The group has performed many of the standards of the concert band literature including the following:

- Cajun Folk Songs - Ticheli
- English Folk Song Suite - Vaughan Williams
- Second Suite for Military Band - Holst
- Festivo - Nelhybel
- Adagio Sostenuto from Symphony for Band - Persichetti
- Ye Banks and Braes O'Bonnie Doon - Grainger
- Kleine Dreigroschenmusik - Weill
- Trauersinfonie - Wagner
Students enrolled in Wind Ensemble (MUSC 353) earn one hour of elective credit. Grading is based mainly on attendance.
